About the role
Creston is seeking a Director to lead complex M&A due diligence engagements for private equity funds and strategic acquirers across the United States.
This is a front-end leadership role focused on owning client relationships, leading transactions end-to-end, and driving revenue growth. You will operate as a trusted advisor to investors and executives, shaping deal strategy, identifying value creation opportunities, and delivering actionable insights across the transaction lifecycle.
This role is designed for experienced leaders looking to expand their impact across deal origination, client leadership, and practice building. Note: This is a contract-based role.
What you'll do
- Drive business development, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and closing new work
- Own and lead integration and carve-out strategy with clear execution governance
- Own end-to-end standalone, synergy, IT, and commercial diligence engagements
- Lead investor and board-level discussions with confidence and clarity
- Identify risks, quantify synergies, and define value creation strategy
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing deal teams
- Contribute to the growth of the US practice, including offerings development and go-to-market strategy
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in consulting, M&A, or transaction advisory
- Strong track record of leading large, complex due diligence engagements
- Demonstrated ability to own senior client relationships and drive revenue growth
- Deep understanding of financial, operational, and technology drivers in M&A transactions
- Experience working with private equity clients and cross-functional deal teams
- Proven leadership in team building, coaching, and developing talent
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently
