This role is a key finance position within a dynamic, international portfolio environment, supporting the integrity and accuracy of financial operations across multiple entities. You will work closely with the Controller and finance team to ensure smooth accounting close cycles, robust internal controls, and high-quality financial reporting. The position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance, enhancing financial processes, and improving visibility into business performance through accurate analysis and reporting. You will operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where precision, accountability, and collaboration are essential. - Support the full accounting close cycle on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial deliverables.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, identifying variances and escalating key findings to management.
- Collaborate with business units to collect, validate, and consolidate financial data required for reporting and closing processes.
- Support the consolidation of financial results across entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy of reporting.
- Perform reconciliations for holding companies and ensure timely submission aligned with internal timelines.
- Assist in internal audit preparation, including pre-audit testing, documentation gathering, and issue tracking.
- Support compliance with internal control frameworks and assist in remediation of identified control gaps.
- Contribute to management reporting, financial dashboards, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across controllership, accounting, and reporting processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in accounting, controlling, audit, or a related finance function.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards (BR GAAP) and IFRS.
- Native-level Portuguese with strong business English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Solid understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and financial governance frameworks.
- Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes in complex or multi-entity environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in multinational or portfolio company environments is highly valued.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CRC, or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong sense of accountability, ethics, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
