This role is designed for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving in the field, and working directly with customers. You will work alongside a team focused on delivering high-quality service and keeping equipment running when it matters most.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and is comfortable operating independently in a field-based environment. This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical skills while working in a variety of real-world settings.

This role requires regular travel and is best suited for someone who is comfortable working on the road and in changing environments.

Title: Service Technician

Department: Service

Position Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and rebuild of agricultural air seeding and precision planting equipment in both shop and field environments. This is a highly hands-on role focused on helping keep equipment operating reliably during critical seasons.

This role works independently and collaboratively with service team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.

Travel Requirements

This role requires consistent weekly travel to customer locations to perform field service work. Team members are typically on the road Monday through Thursday, as needed the travel week will be extended to accommodate work demand.

Travel schedules may vary based on customer needs and seasonal demands. This role requires a high level of comfort working in field-based and travel-heavy environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify issues and complete repairs on air seeding and precision planting equipment.

• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble mechanical components and systems.

• Perform field service work directly at customer locations.

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Drive company service vehicles to transport tools, parts, and equipment.

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.

• Maintain accurate and organized work practices.

• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding repair status and needs.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with agricultural or heavy equipment preferred.

• Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of basic mechanical systems.

• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability and willingness to travel weekly for field service work.

• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing hands-on mechanical work.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.

• Ability to take initiative and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

• Agricultural or farming background is a strong plus.

70,000 - 100,000 USD per year(Main Office)
