About the Role

As a Member Experience Specialist II (Universal Banker II), you’ll take your member service expertise to the next level by handling more complex account needs, lending support, and product solutions. You’ll help members open and manage a wide range of accounts, initiate consumer loan applications, troubleshoot digital banking questions, and connect members with the right lending partners. You’ll also serve as a resource to newer team members while helping the branch deliver a seamless, member-first experience.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome members and provide knowledgeable, personalized service across a variety of financial needs.
  • Open and maintain new business accounts, share certificates, IRAs, and specialty products.
  • Initiate consumer loan applications and identify and refer residential and commercial lending opportunities.
  • Obtain and maintain NMLS registration as required for Home Equity product discussions and funding.
  • Assist members with online and mobile banking troubleshooting and digital banking questions.
  • Provide credit card maintenance and support.
  • Process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
  • Complete account maintenance, including address changes, card disputes, stop payments, and other member requests.
  • Have needs-based conversations to identify and recommend products and services that benefit members.
  • Balance cash drawers daily and maintain accurate transaction, account, and loan records.
  • Support branch operations and dual-control activities as needed.
  • Follow established security, compliance, fraud-prevention, and operational procedures.
  • Serve as a resource and support the training and development of new team members..

What We're Looking For
  • 1–2 years of branch, retail financial services, or related experience.
  • Previous senior teller, universal banker, lead, or similar experience preferred.
  • Notary Public certification required or the ability to obtain certification within the designated timeframe.
  • Credit union experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements, including BSA, Reg CC, and Reg E.
  • Strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and accuracy.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment.
  • Consultative approach to identifying member needs and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
