  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to build consensus and align documentation strategy with business needs.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and content quality.
  • Ensure documentation remains up to date and aligned with evolving product releases and customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in technical writing, or 7+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience producing technical documentation for software or hardware products.
  • Proficiency in DITA XML authoring and structured content workflows.
  • Experience with component content management systems such as Heretto CCMS or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence for collaboration and documentation tracking.
  • Ability to create HTML-first, customer-facing documentation experiences.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus across teams.
  • Experience using AI tools and modern documentation technologies to improve productivity.
  • Exposure to Git-based version control and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of approximately CAD 75,000 – 85,000 based on experience.
  • Fully remote work opportunity available across Canada.
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical public safety technology products.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with strong engineering and product partnerships.
  • Access to modern documentation tools, AI-assisted workflows, and structured content systems.
  • Career development opportunities in senior technical communication and content strategy roles.
  • Inclusive and people-first culture focused on learning, autonomy, and innovation.
