Job Description

About Hansen Consulting Group LLC

Hansen Consulting Group (HCG) is a specialized integrator focused on aligning people, process, and technology across the full project lifecycle, not simply producing 3D models. HCG helps project teams solve process and data issues that impact planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning, using BIM as a data and quality management workflow. We emphasize process-first workflows, BIM-to-prefab manufacturing-to-installation integration, defensible BIM Execution Plans, and embedded accountability across the project lifecycle. HCG consultants are embedded on large, complex projects across multiple states, serving sectors including data centers, semiconductors, EV and battery, wastewater, oil and gas, and commercial construction.

About the role
This is a full-time, on-site position. The BIM Manager will lead BIM strategy and execution on the project, ensuring that

workflows, standards, and data structures are clearly defined, consistently implemented, and followed by all project team

members. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing BIM coordination meetings, managing model federation and clash detection, and aligning model data with procurement, fabrication, and field installation needs. The BIM Manager will

collaborate closely with project managers, general contractors, electrical trade partners, and constructability experts to produce accurate models and reliable information flows. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining BIM Execution Plans, training and mentoring BIM coordinators and modelers, and driving continuous improvement of BIM processes through documented quality controls and captured best practices.

What you'll do
Project BIM Management

  • Serve as BIM Manager for an active, limited-scope project — managing model coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication in alignment with HCG standards.
  • Develop and maintain the project BIM Execution Plan, ensuring data integrity, accountability, and clear workflows through closeout.
  • Act as the primary HCG point of contact for BIM-related deliverables and project team coordination.

Design Technology & Platform Development

  • Serve as HCG’s internal Design Technology and Automation Specialist — owning the development and deployment of tools that improve consistency, reduce manual work, and scale HCG’s service delivery.
  • Build and maintain custom automation tools (custom AI tools is a plus), Revit add-ins, and platform integrations that support BIM Managers and Coordinators across active HCG projects.
  • Develop and maintain Autodesk Forma project templates, governance standards, and data management frameworks for use across HCG engagements.
  • Build reporting dashboards and data pipelines that give HCG leadership real-time visibility into project health, model quality, and operational metrics.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging Autodesk technologies and workflow tools that advance HCG’s technical capabilities and competitive positioning.
  • Develop internal documentation, training materials, and standards that enable the broader HCG team to adopt and sustain new tools effectively.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a workflow within an electrical trade environment, including model setup, standards, and data management, with the ability to build field trust and buy-in
  • Experience with BIM coordination in data center or large-scale commercial projects, including clash detection, model federation, and multidisciplinary trade coordination
  • Background in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), with the ability to connect electrical models to planning, scheduling, prefabrication, and field execution
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems — power distribution, conduit routing, cable tray, and gear placement — and their integration within complex data center environments
  • Familiarity with trade coordination workflows involving other disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, structural), with the ability to represent electrical interests effectively
  • Proven ability to lead BIM-related meetings and communicate technical information effectively to diverse stakeholders including GCs, engineers, and field teams
  • Proficiency with common BIM and coordination platforms, including Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or similar tools
  • Ability to define, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans, standards, and workflow best practices
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a process-oriented mindset grounded in quality and accountability
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in electrical, engineering, or construction

The pay range for this role is:
134,000 - 240,000 USD per year(Indiana)
134,000 - 240,000 USD per year(Nevada)
108,000 - 168,000 USD per year(Tennessee)
