The Fractional Chief Compliance Officer will provide strategic and operational compliance expertise to alternative investment organizations through project-based advisory engagements. Advisors will help clients strengthen regulatory frameworks, enhance governance practices, and address complex compliance challenges.
- Design, implement, and enhance compliance programs for hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, and other alternative investment organizations.
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements, including SEC regulations, reporting obligations, marketing rules, and governance standards.
- Conduct compliance assessments, risk reviews, policy evaluations, and operational control analyses.
- Support regulatory examinations, audits, investor due diligence processes, and compliance readiness initiatives.
- Advise leadership teams on governance structures, compliance strategy, and risk management best practices.
- Evaluate and improve compliance infrastructure, monitoring programs, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, executives, and external service providers to strengthen compliance operations.
- Deliver strategic recommendations while remaining hands-on in implementing practical solutions.
- Provide expertise across a range of client engagements based on business needs and individual experience.
The ideal candidate is a senior compliance professional with extensive experience in alternative investments and a proven ability to build, manage, and improve compliance functions. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge, executive communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments.
- Prior experience serving as a Chief Compliance Officer or equivalent senior compliance leader.
- Background working within hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, or other alternative investment organizations.
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory expectations, and governance practices within the alternatives industry.
- Proven experience developing and managing effective compliance programs.
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, compliance monitoring, reporting, and risk management processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to provide both strategic direction and hands-on execution support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, evolving compliance challenges.
