POSITION: NURSE PRACTITIONER

The Impact of this Role:
The Nurse Practitioner will plan, direct, and evaluate patients in an ambulatory infusion center; receive
referrals and treat depression, major depressive disorder, and treatment-resistant depression with ketamine
and es-ketamine, and office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Meets with new patients to orient them about services, identify needs, and discuss a treatment plan.
• Sees ambulatory patients in the clinic for treatment of depression and performs office procedures
within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
• Coordinates with the Medical Assistant on scheduling follow-up visits in the office as needed.
• Performs basic examinations as required by standard protocols.
• Acts as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the overall health of patients.
• Maintains outpatient records. Compiles reports concerning ambulatory care at the facility.
• Collaborates with staff to identify patients’ needs and to help develop plans to meet these needs.

Education and Experience:
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current approval by the joint Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Nursing to perform medical
acts.
• Must currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
• Experience in counseling and/or teaching preferred.
• Must have experience within EMR systems and charting practices
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The NP will oversee and manage the medical assistant / receptionist as they help assist in checking
inpatients, taking blood pressures, maintaining the schedule, and accepting new referrals for review.
Work environment:
This role will require the Nurse Practitioner to spend most of the day on their feet, working behind the prescription counter. Bending and lifting are required to handle inventory.
