Job Description

Dir, Product Management

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dir, Product Management based in United States.

This is a senior product leadership role focused on shaping a unified software supply chain security portfolio at global scale.
You will define the product vision and multi-year strategy for helping organizations understand, manage, and reduce software security risk.
The role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on leadership of a team of product managers.
You will bring together capabilities across dependency security, artifact trust, provenance, package governance, and application relationships into a coherent customer experience.
Working closely with engineering, design, sales, security, and customer teams, you will turn customer insights and usage data into high-impact product decisions.
You will also influence packaging, pricing, adoption, and commercial outcomes while communicating the product vision to executives, analysts, and the developer community.
This is an opportunity to shape how secure software is built and shipped while leading complex product transformation across a highly technical ecosystem.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for a software supply chain security product portfolio, determining what to build, consolidate, retire, and prioritize.
  • Establish a unified product experience across dependency security, artifact trust and provenance, package governance, and related security capabilities.
  • Develop product strategies that help customers understand how code, repositories, artifacts, applications, and dependencies are connected and how security risks affect their environments.
  • Define approaches for identifying and prioritizing actionable security risks, enabling customers and development teams to understand what requires remediation and helping drive issues through to resolution.
  • Make verifiable software provenance and supply chain trust more accessible by integrating security capabilities directly into development and software delivery workflows.
  • Engage directly with enterprise security teams, platform engineering leaders, developers, and open source communities to understand customer needs, challenges, and emerging market requirements.
  • Analyze product usage data and customer signals to validate assumptions, identify opportunities, measure product performance, and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and translate market insights into differentiated product strategies rather than simply pursuing feature parity.
  • Own direct product responsibility for strategically important problems within the portfolio, balancing long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • Define meaningful product metrics and establish accountability for adoption, customer outcomes, product performance, and commercial success.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers across different levels of experience, setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and supporting career development.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design leadership on staffing, product delivery, prioritization, operating models, and execution.
  • Shape packaging and pricing strategies for the product segment and take ownership of adoption and revenue outcomes.
  • Collaborate with security organizations and strategic partners to bring security research, threat intelligence, and enterprise capabilities into developer and security workflows.
  • Represent the product vision in executive briefings, analyst engagements, customer conversations, and developer communities while contributing thought leadership across the broader organization.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, service management, project or program management, software development, product design, or a related field; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline combined with 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing deep expertise in developer tools, developer platforms, security products, or related technical product areas, with the ability to translate developer requirements into actionable product roadmaps.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience, including experience leading, coaching, and developing product managers.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product area end to end as an individual contributor while also leading or developing other product managers.
  • Strong understanding of software supply chain security, including areas such as software composition analysis, dependency management, package registries, ecosystem tooling, SBOMs, provenance, attestations, or open source package security is preferred.
  • Experience directly managing product managers, including hiring, coaching professionals across different experience levels, setting performance expectations, and managing performance.
  • Proven ability to build a coherent product line from separately managed capabilities, including making complex consolidation, integration, prioritization, and deprecation decisions.
  • Experience with product packaging, pricing, consumption-based commercial models, or other monetization strategies is preferred.
  • Strong customer discovery and market analysis skills, with the ability to turn customer feedback, usage data, competitive intelligence, and market signals into product strategy.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, Security, and other stakeholders to deliver products addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, storytelling, executive presence, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively as a player-coach, balancing portfolio-level strategy and organizational leadership with direct ownership of critical product problems.

Benefits:

  • Annual base salary range of $140,400–$372,300 USD, with actual compensation determined by factors including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Eligibility for additional rewards, including annual bonuses and stock, depending on role and individual impact.
  • Certain roles may also offer sales incentive opportunities based on revenue or utilization and applicable compensation plans.
  • Remote working opportunity within the United States.
  • Generous learning and professional growth opportunities.
  • Competitive benefits designed to support employees and their wellbeing.
  • Opportunity to lead a team of product managers while owning a strategically important product portfolio.
  • High-impact exposure to software supply chain security, developer platforms, AI-enabled software development, and secure software delivery.
  • Opportunity to work on complex technical and strategic problems affecting enterprise customers and the broader developer ecosystem.
  • Significant visibility with executive stakeholders, analysts, customers, and developer communities.
  • Inclusive environment that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, collaboration, growth, ownership, and continuous learning.
