Unarmed Special Events in manassas, Virginia at Sentry Force Security

Sentry Force Security is seeking reliable and experienced Unarmed Special Event Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will price temporary support for special events at various university campuses throughout Fairfax and Manassas. Our services typically include passive weapons screening, parking detail or general presence. Most assignments are static and require minimal patrolling. Special event shifts range from 4 to 12 hours.

This is a part-time position. Hours worked will depend both on your availability and the volume of services requested from our client(s). Events are frequent, with work available every week. Openings are shared in a private WhatsApp group as they occur/are requested.

Event locations:

• Fairfax
• Manassas
• Alexandria

Responsibilities: Specific duties will be outline by the event coordinator (client) but may include one or more of the following:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Use walk-trough weapons screening system to detect prohibited items.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Assist with coordination of event guest parking.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.

Qualifications:

• Candidates MUST have an Active VA DCJS unarmed security license.
• 2 years previous experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military
• First Aid and CPR/AED certified
• Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail.
• Punctuality; great attendance record.
