Salary Range of $65,000 - $75,000, annually dependent on experience, with bonus potential.

Job purpose
The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager will help direct and administer all aspects of the operation as well as coordinate and administer the property's policies and procedures as defined by Hampton Golf.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the club in the absence of the general manager
- Assist in hiring, developing and supervising all key supervisory Team Members of the property
- Assist in overseeing the care and maintenance of the property's physical assets and facilities
- Maintain positive and productive relationships between active members, guests, Team Members, community, government and industry
- Assist with sourcing, hiring, developing, training and motivating a staff of professional service-orientated staff at the discretion of the General Manager
- Assists GM in managing staff by conducting staff meetings
- Ensuring standards by implementing Hampton Golf policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Administers personnel and general policies and ensures proper hiring, training, supervising, development and corrective action in accordance with fair labor standards, safety and established policies as defined in the Hampton Golf Manuals
- Ensures and oversees the development of operating procedures, shift checklists and training manuals of Hampton Golf
- Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
- Develops and maintains member accounts and databases for recruitment
- Assists with the performance of all daily operations, functions and services. Assures high standards and total customer satisfaction.
- Ensures and develops the emergency and safety procedures as defined in the Hampton Golf manuals.
- Maintains active memberships in appropriate professional organizations.
- Meets, greets and welcomes members, prospective members and patrons.
- Creates the formulation of the annual and seasonal marketing and promotional plans.
- Ensures that the highest standards for golf services and programs, golf course and practice area, food and beverage, entertainment and other club services are exercised.
- Diplomatically enforce all rules and regulations of Hampton Golf and the club
- Ensures and initiates programs to provide members with a variety of innovative functions, programs and events

- Attends and participates in daily, weekly, monthly department, other Team Member meetings
- Participates in outside functions and activities deemed appropriate

Qualifications
Four-year college degree - preferred
2-4 years' experience as assistant general manager - preferred
3-5 years' membership recruitment experience preferred
Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements
Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and up to 20 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf's Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
Use the following safety precautions when using an 8ft. ladder:
- Correct placement of the ladder. The safest angle for a straight ladder is to ensure it is placed on-fourth the distance from the base to the point of support. “A” frame ladders naturally comply.
- Ensure the ladder is placed on a firm level surface, and do not place the ladder near a doorway.
- Ensure there are non-skid shoes on the ladder.
- If using a medal ladder, be sure that it is not near electrical wires.
- One person on a ladder at one time, and ensure another staff member is holding the ladder in position.
- Never overreach.
