Job Description

Design Ops Pleno

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Design Ops Pleno based in Brazil.

This role sits at the heart of the Design organization, ensuring structure, consistency, and scalability across product design processes. You will help define how design teams operate, connect with Product and Engineering, and maintain alignment across the end-to-end product lifecycle. Acting as a key enabler of efficiency, you will standardize workflows, improve communication flows, and strengthen the overall design system adoption. You will also play a critical role in onboarding new designers and accelerating their integration into the team. This is a highly collaborative position, working across multidisciplinary squads in a fast-paced fintech environment. Your impact will be felt in the quality, speed, and coherence of product delivery. It’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys building systems that help others do their best work.

Accountabilities
  • Define, implement, and evolve Design Ops processes, ensuring scalable and efficient workflows across Product, Design, and Engineering teams, including rituals like design critiques and reviews.
  • Standardize and optimize end-to-end design workflows, improving collaboration, reducing friction, and strengthening integration with agile product development cycles.
  • Lead onboarding and enablement programs for new designers, ensuring fast ramp-up and alignment with team practices, culture, and tools.
  • Build and maintain centralized documentation and knowledge bases (e.g., Confluence), ensuring clarity, accessibility, and consistency of design processes.
  • Support the evolution and adoption of the Design System, documenting guidelines, component behaviors, and best practices for designers and developers.
  • Define and track key operational metrics (KPIs) for design efficiency, workflow health, and team productivity.
  • Act as a central point of contact for design tools and processes, supporting teams with Figma, Jira, and related platforms.
Requirements

You bring solid experience in Design Operations, with a proven ability to structure and scale design processes in fast-moving product environments. You understand how Product and Engineering teams operate and can translate between these disciplines with ease. You have worked closely with Design Systems, supporting documentation, governance, and adoption across teams. You also have experience building onboarding programs and enabling knowledge transfer for design teams. You are highly skilled in documentation and knowledge management tools such as Confluence, and you know how to create reliable “single sources of truth.” Your communication and facilitation skills allow you to influence stakeholders without formal authority. You are comfortable in dynamic environments where processes must evolve continuously while maintaining structure and clarity. A proactive, systems-thinking mindset and strong collaboration skills are essential.

  • Strong understanding of Product Management and Engineering workflows

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments with a scalable mindset
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with market standards
  • Remote-first work model with flexibility
  • Health and dental insurance coverage
  • Meal and food allowance
  • Home office support and equipment assistance
  • Education support and learning platforms for continuous development
  • Wellness and mental health benefits, including therapy support
  • Paid time off, including birthday day off
  • Parental support benefits and extended leave policies
