General Purpose:

Manage the cash of the company to ensure that there are sufficient funds for the company to meet its cash obligations.

Main Job Duties

• Forecasting the daily cash position for 100+ operating and investment bank accounts
• Initiating accountant transfers, wires and ach payments via online banking websites
• Ensure all bank account reconciliations are completed monthly utilizing Sage 100 ERP Bank Reconciliation module
• Maintain bank accounts and bank codes in the Sage 100 ERP
• Responsible for the internal and external transfer of financial data between departments or with the bank
• Track vendor payment plans and ensure timely payments are made
• Communicate with accounts payable and accounts receivable departments to ensure timely application of cash receipts and payments
• Implementing the systems necessary to monitor, manage, and control the cash position
• Process credit card dispute responses
• Upload daily positive pay files to the bank
• Make bank deposits
• Create and/or import cash transaction journal entries into Sage 100 ERP system
• Setup merchant and bank accounts for new locations, processors and third party delivery companies

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance preferred
• Restaurant or retail accounting experience
• Five years recent cash accounting experience
• Implementation of electronic cash management systems a plus
