CLINICAL THERAPIST EXEMPT - PSYCH at East Alabama Medical Center – OPELIKA, Alabama

• The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to patients varying in age and mental health diagnosis. The clinical therapist should have appropriate writing/documentation skills and ability to work well with treatment team members. The clinical therapist maintains confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.

• Minimum Education
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited program
• 
  Minimum Experience
  • 1-2 years formal work experience
• 
  Required Registration/License/Certification
  • BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
  • CPI within 12 months of DOH/Transfer
• 
  Preferred Education
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited program
• 
  Preferred Experience
  • 2-3 years formal experience, that includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, and also with individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• 
  Preferred Registration/License/Certification
  • Licensed or licensed-eligible as a Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker in Alabama
