Rebar Fabrication Associate at K&K Supply Company Inc – Fenton, Missouri

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Rebar Fabrication Associate to join our team. In

this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and preparing rebar for use in concrete construction projects.

You will work closely with your team to ensure that rebar is accurately cut, bent, and shaped according to

blueprints, design specifications, and safety regulations, contributing to the structural integrity and safety of

our projects.

Responsibilities:

Rebar Cutting & Bending:

• Operate rebar cutters and benders to cut, bend, and shape rebar according to blueprints and project requirements.
• Accurately measure and mark rebar to ensure correct fabrication.
• Follow detailed instructions to produce rebar that meets the required sizes and specifications.

Material Handling & Inventory:

• Move, store, and organize rebar and related materials in the fabrication shop or at job sites.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with project specifications.

Quality Control & Safety:

• Ensure all fabricated rebar meets quality standards and complies with safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular checks for accuracy and inspect finished products for any defects or damage.
• Follow proper safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machinery and handling materials.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Assist in coordinating and scheduling rebar delivery to construction sites.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in rebar fabrication or related construction work is preferred but not always required.
• Machine Operation: Familiarity with operating rebar cutting and bending machines and tools.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow blueprints and fabrication specifications.
• Safety Knowledge: Understanding of construction site safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
• Teamwork: Proven ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and calculating rebar dimensions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
