Job Description

Position Summary

H&S Energy Group is seeking an energetic, responsible, and dedicated Carwash Technician to join our growing and energetic team. The Carwash Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving all aspects of carwash facilities maintenance and upkeep. In this position you will be expected to learn the daily routines and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assess carwash functionality and direct appropriate team members to repair in a timely manner
  • Coordinate repairs and schedule preventive maintenance
  • Install and troubleshoot Point of Sale Equipment
  • Analyze specs for current and future carwash projects
  • Promptly respond to requests for emergency repairs
  • Analyze electronic and mechanical issues and repair
  • Communicate technical knowledge and issues to operations staff
  • Perform routine carwash maintenance duties
  • Troubleshoot and repair carwash equipment
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in the day-to day activities
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
  • This may not be an exhaustive list of all other duties required of the job

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills such as using industry and manufacturers programs, email, Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with HVAC controls preferred but not required
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check

  • Have good hand-eye coordination and ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a written or oral format

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability and desire to learn
  • Comply with company safety standard operating procedures, ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, coworkers, and management

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch throughout the shift
  • Frequent use of hands and arms is required to operate tools, machinery, and repair car wash systems
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at varying heights as needed to access and service equipment
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity are essential for performing inspections, troubleshooting, and using hand and power tools
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and includes frequent exposure to water, humidity, cleaning chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and noise
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and protective footwear must be worn as required by company safety policy
  • Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and participation in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs or maintenance
