Description:

The Quality Inspector for metal stamping plays a crucial role in ensuring that all products manufactured meet specified quality standards and customer expectations throughout the production cycle. This position involves rigorous inspection processes, collaboration with various teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement to uphold the integrity of our products.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Thoroughly examine incoming raw materials to verify compliance with established specifications and quality standards.

· Document and communicate material discrepancies to suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely resolutions.

· Conduct systematic and detailed inspections at various stages of the metal stamping process, including during setup and ongoing production runs.

· Utilize precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to assess dimensions, tolerances, and overall component integrity.

· Execute comprehensive evaluations on finished products, ensuring conformity to engineering specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

· Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, highlighting any non-conformities and recommending corrective actions as necessary.

· Perform functional, durability, and performance testing on products, if applicable, to guarantee they meet operational requirements.

· Analyze and interpret test results to identify trends, potential defects, and opportunities for process enhancements.

· Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and other team members to address quality issues effectively and implement corrective actions.

· Actively participate in cross-departmental meetings focused on quality improvements, safety initiatives, and production efficiency.

· Maintain rigorous documentation of all inspections, tests, and quality control processes to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.

· Prepare and present quality performance reports to management, including analysis of quality metrics and any corrective actions taken.

· Ensure adherence to all quality management protocols, industry standards (such as ISO or TS standards), and company policies.

· Assist in conducting internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights related to quality control practices.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree in quality control, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

· Proven experience (2+ years) in quality inspection, specifically within a metal stamping or manufacturing environment.

· Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects clearly.

· Proficient in using various inspection tools and measurement devices, with familiarity in computer software for data analysis and reporting.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand for extended periods while conducting inspections and use precision measurement equipment.

· Capability to lift and maneuver materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:

· The role is primarily performed in a manufacturing floor setting, with exposure to machinery, metalworking processes, and varying temperatures.

· Adherence to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
