What We Seek...

We are seeking a highly dependable and detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Specialist to play a critical role in both the financial processes and day-to-day business operations for ColorArmor, a newly established company, focused on high end industrial coating solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, while being comfortable balancing the accounting responsibilities, and will be eager to roll up their sleeves, jump in where needed, and support operational needs across the organization.

Job Summary and Job Functions

  • Serve as a cross-functional support resource, stepping in to assist with urgent tasks or high-priority projects across departments as needed
  • Responsible for all AR – including sales tax, AP, Cash and all other General Accounting duties
  • Reconcile accounts, track expenses, and support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Manage purchasing activities, including creating purchase orders, tracking orders, and following up with vendors on delivery timelines
  • Assist with inventory counts and ensure records are accurate
  • Support shop or production floor needs to help keep work moving on schedule
  • Support last-minute or urgent production needs to keep projects on track
  • Take on a variety of hands-on tasks to support overall business operations

Requirements:
  • 2+ years or more of related experience, required
  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in accounting and operational software: QuickBooks, Excel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Results oriented focus with the ability to get things done and the ability to quickly adapt in a changing environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Office and production floor environment working atmosphere
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
  • Communicating with others to exchange information
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Performing and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness work
  • Some heavy work. Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
