At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. WHAT WE NEED
Train, coach, coordinate and validate the activities of Processors engaged in the preparation and processing of quality food products by performing the following duties.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Trains employees in all areas of processing and assists in effective implementation of new procedures and company initiatives for improvement.Consults with R&D to determine procedures and best practices for processing new products and coordinate the training of same within the Processing dept.Leads the training of Processors in proper preparation, documentation, quality, processing and safety techniques.Maintains training materials for accuracy and consistent application.Ensures work is allocated effectively, employees are at their assigned location; and checkpoints and controls are set for monitoring performance.Helps to evaluate and communicate status of scheduled workflow with Shift Superintendent at start of each workday and throughout shift. Works with Processing Supervisor to coordinate and prioritize Processing activities.Directs Processors in the setup of processing equipment for product change over.Validates proper documentation and monitors to ensure that procedures are accurately performed by all Processors on shift.Reviews Cook Cards and Process instructions with Processing Supervisor as required to assure accuracy and completeness.Works with Processing Supervisor toward continuous improvement of product yields.Performs the activities of a Processor as required.Monitors and addresses GMPs and Food safety practices with Processors on shift.Will halt process and immediately notify QA and Shift Superintendent of any concerns of Food Safety or product quality.Is involved in cross-functional teams and brings forward suggestions for continuous improvement.Monitors plant conditions and ensure that work areas are organized, free from hazards, and that the plant floor is clean.Assures required HACCP checks are verified for completion and signed.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.Experience as a Processor for a minimum of two years required.Forklift certification requiredKnowledge of RedZone is strongly preferred.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Due to SQF regulations all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. Must be able to stand for full shift, which is minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, at times without aid. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to see color, and ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), heat, and moderate level of noise.
