Job Description: Warehouse Lead

Job Purpose
The warehouse lead oversees the team and ensures tasks are completed and all documentation is completed in a timely manner and within company guidelines. Under the direction of the warehouse manager trains, leads, and coaches subordinates to ensure they are receiving the proper tools and mentoring needed to complete their assigned tasks.
Job Functions
• Lead the assigned workload and help warehouse personnel.
• Help Management with planning, implementing, and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse function to ensure established procedures for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded.
• Help coordinate outbound shipments to our 3PL warehouse in a timely manner
• Help monitor loading, and unloading plans are met and suggest appropriate changes as necessary.
• Help monitor product damage.
• Help inform and communicate with teammates on warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensure that accidents are reported to the Warehouse Manager for investigation and reporting action.
• Help resolve workplace conflicts by utilizing positive employee relations.
• Help ensure that all warehouse equipment is operated properly and safely.
• Help plan and coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance utilizing logs.
• Help assign necessary housekeeping tasks to ensure a neat, clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Ensure that all normal forklift driver duties/tasks are performed as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Ensure all inbound shipments are received and put away daily into a designated warehouse location.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Although some warehouse and production exposure will be expected. You may be exposed to fumes, temperature changes (hot, cold), loud noises, wet environment and moving mechanical parts and vibration.

• Ability to handle administrative duties.
Qualification
Education and Experience
Years of Experience 2 years plus in a Lead role, managing more than 5 people.
Bachelor’s Degree (University or Technical School)
Education Related field of study: Business, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or related.
