About This Position
Job Purpose:
Monitor, educate, and assist patients in daily activities in the detox and residential program.
Description:
Monitor patients in detox and residential care for current needs, adherence to policies & procedures, and recovery related issues.
Maintain a healthy and recovery-focused patient milieu.
Facilitate recovery-oriented support groups.
Assist with meal preps as-needed.
Support patients in attaining mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery.
Provide patients with validation, support, and assistance.
Witness patient’s self-administer non-narcotic medications, as-needed.
Ensure that the facility is neat and free of any fire or safety hazards, per FRC policies & procedures.
Record groups and patient updates in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Report vital signs & assessment flow sheets, if needed.
Attend staff meetings and any required training.
Interact appropriately and professionally with all patients, visitors, and family members.
Maintain confidentiality of patients, upholding HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 at all times.
Education and Experience, degree and/or Certification Required (if applicable):
GED or High School Diploma preferred
Experience working in recovery or mental health and substance abuse treatment preferred
CPRS designation highly preferred
CPR, First Aid/AED certification (provided by FRC, if needed) required
