Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Catholic School founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee, WI. The school was founded in 1996 as Notre Dame Middle School, an all girls 5th-8th grade middle school to serve Latinas on the southside of Milwaukee. Today Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Grade K3-8 Catholic school sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. It has a co-education primary school serving boys and girls in a Spanish and English dual language model. NDSM addresses the urgent, critical needs of the community through student-focused education. We currently serve over 690 students across three campuses and we have both an all-boys and all-girls middle school, a co-ed primary school, and an Early Childhood Education program. Reports To: Middle School Principal

Areas of Responsibility: Academics

Position Overview: The ASP/Enrichment Director oversees the ASP program at the boys and girls middle school campuses to provide opportunities to develop student talents and empower students to pursue individual interests. This position also oversees the athletic programming across the three campuses. The ASP/Enrichment Director is evaluated by the Middle School Principal.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Educational background/experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Communication skills with proficiency in both English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Oversees both middle school ASP programs by successfully implementing and executing the ASP program during the school year.
    • Creating a clear communication system that ensures all campus sites (teachers and staff) and families are aware of ASP policies, offerings throughout the year, schedules, transportation, cancellations, and any details related to the after school program.
    • Planning, staffing, budgeting, communication of clubs posted at each campus, ensuring supplies are ordered and ready to go for each club in advance
    • Ensuring enough uniforms are ordered and inventoried regularly
    • Communicate with families about the programs students are enrolled in (including dates, days, and times)
    • Manages vans and transportation schedules to ensure adequate drivers and access
  • Ensures that ASP is fully staffed, including compliance that ASP program volunteers are safeguarded
  • Manages the ASP budget, including compensation/stipend forms, invoices, etc.
  • Oversees the athletics for elementary and middle schools as part of the ASP programming, including distributing athletic information and overseeing league fees throughout the year
  • Communicates with Athletics League Director and attends all necessary meetings
  • Main contact for community partnerships relating to ASP programming
  • Oversees and executes the ASP program after the NDSM Summer School daily session is complete.
  • Connects with donors to help provide snacks for the ASP and Athletic Program
  • Collaborates and communicates regularly with the MS ASP Assistants

  • Supervises areas as assigned
  • Communicates professionally and promptly with teachers, parents, students, and community members

Record Keeping Duties:

  • Completes all required forms and reports
  • Maintain accurate records of student information

  • Participates and meets the requirements of Sustaining the Mission and maintains the appropriate level of certification
  • Attends all faculty and in-service meetings and other meetings as needed
  • Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
  • Must have knowledge and experience with cultural sensitivity and awareness
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities, with a willingness to put students first at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned
