Exercise Physiologist at Lake Regional Health System – Osage Beach, Missouri

Lake Regional Health System is looking for a certified Exercise Physiologist (EP) who promotes patient satisfaction by providing courteous, confidential service through competent, professional safe practices and prompt response. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer exercise stress tests in healthy and unhealthy populations
• Evaluate a person’s overall health, with special attention to cardiovascular function and metabolism
• Develop individualized exercise prescriptions to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility
• Provide consultations/educational sessions with patient and family regarding specific patient needs and outcomes
• Develop a discharge plan with recommendations for continued behavior modification strategies and coordination of other services
• Design customized exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals
• Provides the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for various disease populations
• Interpret the information needed to identify each patient’s POC relative to his/her specific needs
• Re-evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and patient progress on an ongoing basis
• Presents a professional approach and appearance, a friendly smile, and a pleasant tone of voice
• Operate as an active part of the team
• Use constructive problem-solving
• Maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

• Annual influenza vaccine required
• Must have 1–2 years of related experience
• CPR certification is required through the American Heart Association
• Must have ACLS certification within 1 year of employment

Exercise Physiologist (EP) Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of a professional Exercise Physiology curriculum accredited by the national accreditation body of that organization
• Recommend certification by ACSM
• Recommend a Master's degree in Exercise Science or Equivalent
