About This Position

AmericanAg®, a global provider of diversified reinsurance services, is looking for a Director of Marketing to join our Corporate Services team based out of our office in Schaumburg, Illinois. This is a hybrid position working in the office a minimum of three days a week.

In this strategic hands-on position, the Director of Marketing will play a key role in helping the company achieve its goals and objectives by leading our business-to-business marketing strategy and managing a team that focuses on event planning, corporate communications, and branding. We are looking for a versatile, data-driven leader that can work closely with leadership and other departments to connect our priorities to actionable marketing plans that support the company’s current and future success.

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for:

Strategic Planning/Architecture

  • Creating actionable annual and measurable business-to-business marketing plans that support the company’s strategy and growth goals
  • Partnering with executive leaders to understand their goals and applying that knowledge to the development and execution of marketing plans
  • Working with sales and product development to ensure cohesive execution of marketing plans
  • Identifying key market opportunities through thorough research, a deep dive of the competitor landscape, and a review of current trends to develop informed strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Supporting the development of compelling market messages, case studies, and white papers


Measurement and Performance Impact

  • Introducing standardized KPIs and closely monitoring campaign performance to measure ROI and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results
  • Developing and managing marketing dashboards and reporting frameworks that link marketing activity to awareness, engagement, pipeline, and revenue impact
  • Driving internal education, engagement, and storytelling to increase visibility and understanding of the company’s capabilities and value proposition in the market

Corporate Communications/Branding/Social Media

  • Creating and leading detailed marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, content marketing, and paid advertising, aligning them with the overall strategy while articulating our value proposition
  • Leading all marketing communications, advertising, and promotional initiatives while maintaining consistent brand identity across all products, communications, and promotional materials
  • Managing relationships with advertising agencies, media partners, industry associations, and vendors, including contract negotiation and performance oversight
  • Overseeing the planning of conferences, meetings, and customer events

What you will bring to this role:

  • 8+ years of progressive business-to-business marketing and brand management experience in insurance/reinsurance and/or financial services
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven success leading strategy, planning, or go-to-market functions tied directly to business outcomes
  • Experience translating enterprise strategy into actionable and impactful marketing plans that drive growth and visibility
  • Understanding of integrated marketing, segmentation, demand generation, and performance measurements
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build stakeholder alignment through clear communication and collaborative leadership
  • A systematic, evidence-based thinker capable of translating data into clear strategies while establishing strong accountability for marketing outcomes
  • Forward-thinking, collaborative, and comfortable leading through change in a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Experience using HubSpot (or similar CRMs) and Google Analytics (and/or other website metrics platforms)
  • Experience building out social media strategies on LinkedIn and other platforms

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $150,000-$200,000. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
