About This Position

SUMMARY:

The Breast Center Coordinator is responsible and accountable for performing multi-faceted clerical duties to assist the Technologist and Radiologist to aid in the diagnosis and continuum of care of patients.

This position provides high-quality services for all ages of women in a setting that is centered on women's breast health, as well as keeping historical data for all accrediting bodies (FDA/ACR and Komen). It also schedules any new Host Sites with scheduling of patients and demographic information, as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of High School or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 2 years customer service experience required. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.

Other: Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, Optimum, and Cerner

A qualified , self-directed, applicant will be able to organize, manage and coordinate Host Sites for the Mobile Mammography Unit and provide historical data for Komen Funds and ACR. Coordination of marketing and being able to provide information packets as required, in addition to exhibited proficiency in Word, AS400, Optimum and Cerner. They must be compassionate and sensitive to customers' needs and possess that ability to work as a team member. The ideal candidate will possess clinical, management and group process skills. Exceptional communication and organizational skills and a sense of responsibility are a necessity.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist, and occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics. Spends eight hours or more performing clerical duties in the Breast Imaging Center/Radiology department and Mobile Mammography Unit. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Hospital; Radiology Department, Breast Center, Mobile Mammography Unit and other offsite locations
