Position: Operations Director/ Administrative Services Director

Annual Compensation: (City Pay Range 10) Hiring Range - $73,320.00 - $96,202.00 depending upon experience and certifications.

Description: The City of Charles Town seeks applicants for the position of Operations Director. This is a management level, overtime exempt position that includes responsibility for the purchasing, contract, information technology, records management, asset management, municipal court, website management, insurance, safety, general employee training, and other operational functions for the City of Charles Town. The position includes responsibility for providing and delivering the administrative services noted above to ensure the efficient operations of the organization. This position develops policies and procedures for such services and ensures that all city employees understand how to access services as appropriate.
Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized, four-year college with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, information technology, or a related field.
Five years of progressively responsible experience in a governmental organization, with at least two years of supervisory experience.
Extensive knowledge of any assigned operational function, seven years of progressively responsible work experience, and three years of supervisory experience may be substituted for the college and governmental experience.
