Title: RN – Employee Wellness Coordinator - Safety Sensitive

Job Summary: The Population Health Employee Wellness RN Coordinator is a registered nurse position responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and ongoing coordination of a new Employee Wellness Program at White River Health. This role will help build the foundation, workflows, communication processes, and engagement strategies needed to launch and grow a structured employee wellness program focused on prevention, early identification of health risks, wellness education, and improved employee well-being.
This position will work within Population Health and collaborate with Employee Health, Human Resources, organizational leaders, providers, and other key stakeholders to establish a coordinated wellness program for employees. The RN Coordinator will support program planning, employee outreach, health screenings, wellness education, care navigation, tracking, follow-up, and ongoing program improvement as the program is developed and expanded.
Job Duties:
1. Assist with the development, launch, and ongoing coordination of White River Health’s Employee Wellness Program.
2. Coordinate employee wellness activities including biometric screenings, lab events, blood pressure checks, wellness education, prevention campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
3. Perform nursing assessments and screenings within the scope of RN licensure and established program protocols.
4. Provide employee wellness education related to preventive care, chronic disease prevention, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and appropriate follow-up resources.
5. Serve as a point of contact for employees participating in wellness program activities and provide guidance on program steps, requirements, and available resources.
6. Support employee outreach, reminders, communication, scheduling, and follow-up to encourage participation and completion of wellness activities.
7. Assist with care navigation by helping employees connect with appropriate providers, Employee Health, primary care, community resources, or other services as needed.
8. Maintain accurate and confidential records related to employee wellness participation, screenings, education, referrals, and follow-up activities.
9. Track participation, completion of wellness requirements, and basic program outcomes to support reporting and program evaluation.
10. Collaborate with Population Health, Employee Health, Human Resources, providers, and organizational leaders to align wellness activities with employee needs and organizational priorities.
11. Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement, participation, workflow efficiency, and overall program effectiveness as the program grows.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Current unrestricted Arkansas RN license required.
2. Training and Experience: CPR/BLS current and other certifications as assigned. Previous experience in employee health, wellness, population health, care coordination, clinic nursing, or health education preferred.
3. Job Knowledge: Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care and wellness interventions according to individual needs and within the scope of RN licensure. Must demonstrate an understanding of preventive health, clinical risk, employee confidentiality, and appropriate care navigation. Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with employees, staff, providers, and other health care professionals. Familiarity with EMR systems and basic data tracking is preferred.
Essentials:
1. Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
2. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
3. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee health information and demonstrate professional judgment in all wellness program activities.
Physical Demands: Job responsibilities require computer work, written documentation, verbal communication, and participation in employee wellness events and screening activities. The individual may be required to stand for extended periods during events, transport supplies or equipment, push carts or screening equipment, and lift or push up to 50 pounds. Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills. A significant amount of writing and computer entry is required.
