MASSAGE THERAPIST-PRN in Westminster, Maryland at LifeBridge Health

Compensation:$15.00-$28.65 + commission

Summary
The Massage Therapist provides safe, therapeutic massage and approved body/energy work to patients in accordance with Maryland licensure and scope of practice. Services are delivered through outpatient appointments and special programs, supporting patient wellness and integrative care goals.

This role requires strong communication skills, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to promoting the value of massage therapy within the community. As part of the team, the Massage Therapist ensures all services align with the mission and SPIRIT values of LifeBridge Health.

• Deliver massage therapy and approved body/energy work based on appointment type and patient needs
• Perform assessments and establish individualized treatment goals with patients
• Maintain an efficient daily schedule while managing patient flow independently and collaboratively
• Complete timely and accurate documentation for each session
• Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and equipment according to established protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and the multidisciplinary team
• Educate patients on treatment expectations and ongoing care
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures
• Optimize use of space and supplies; identify opportunities for process improvement
• Communicate supply or operational needs proactively to the team
• Support marketing and promotion of integrative health services as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required:

• Current Maryland Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT, not RMP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• Oncology Massage certification
• Perinatal Massage certification
• Lymphatic Massagecertification
• Additional therapeutic modalities such as Reiki, reflexology, or similar

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and integrative health practices
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills
