About This Position

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We’re seeking a Donor Relations Specialist who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship-building. This role is perfect for someone who loves bringing order to complexity, understands the art of thoughtful donor engagement, and finds deep purpose in supporting mission-driven work.

If you’re highly organized, systems-minded, and energized by serving major donors with excellence and intentionality — this may be the role for you.

Why CURE?

At CURE International, your work has a direct, life-changing impact. Every donor interaction, event, hospital visit, and communication you help coordinate contributes to providing surgical care and hope to children in low-resource countries.

When you join CURE, you’ll experience:

  • A mission that matters. Our focus is on healing the sick and proclaiming the Kingdom of God, giving your work eternal significance and daily purpose.
  • A culture of excellence and collaboration. You’ll partner with dedicated colleagues across Major Gifts, Marketing, Events, Global Outreach, and hospital leadership, all striving for precision, care, and meaningful impact.
  • Opportunity to grow and lead behind the scenes. This role isn’t just administrative—it’s strategic. You’ll help shape processes, strengthen donor engagement, and ensure that every touchpoint drives long-term relationships and organizational success.
  • Personal and professional fulfillment. If you thrive on attention to detail, building systems that scale, and serving others with excellence, CURE offers a place to make a tangible difference while growing your career in advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Engagement & Communications – Coordinate invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up for events, hospital visits, and donor travel; draft personalized, professional communications and prepare templated proposals and updates.
  • Event & Trip Coordination – Partner with Events, Major Gift Officers, and hospital teams to execute donor-facing events and hospital visits strategically, ensuring seamless logistics and meaningful engagement.
  • CRM Management & Data Integrity – Maintain accurate donor records, track engagement activities, and generate reports to support portfolio management and leadership visibility.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Management – Develop SOPs, checklists, and repeatable processes to bring structure, consistency, and efficiency to recurring Major Donor activities.
  • Team & Director Support – Provide anticipatory, detail-oriented support to the Senior Director of Major Donor Relations, strengthening execution quality, accountability, and overall team effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, development operations, or advancement support; experience supporting major gifts strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working in a CRM (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Virtuous, or similar), with a strong track record of data accuracy and integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting basic donor-facing communications and preparing basic proposals or donor updates.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities without dropping balls.
  • Employs a servant-leadership mindset, prioritizing the success and well-being of the team to drive collective results.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when working with high-net-worth donors and confidential information.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to recurring processes through documentation and standardization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams, including events, global outreach, and hospital leadership.
  • Alignment with CURE International’s Christian mission and values.
