Duties/Responsibilities
- Schedule rounds with assigned LTC facilities for educating on resident wound care; with no direct patient contact approach
- Provide education to LTC staff on appropriate documentation requirements to maintain compliancy with state and federal requirements.
- Teach and train relevant LTC staff on how to heal and care for wounds.
- Manage and properly respond to internal and external correspondence through excellent oral and written communication skills.
- All duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements, Abilities and Expectations
- Ability to travel frequently, travel is a requirement of this job with overnight stays
- LVN/LPN
- Long Term Care experience required.
- Understanding of DME/Medicare Part B processes in LTC beneficial
- Wound care certification or relevant experience in LTC
- Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain effective ongoing relationships.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to deliver consistent, exceptional customer service.
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to be a self-starter, and work with minimal direct supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. emailing, Excel, Word, etc.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands
- Involves sitting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use the computer and phone system.
- Ability to travel via automobile or airplane.
- Involves walking, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
