Dermatology Associates of Virginia is expanding its Richmond presence and offering a complete skincare experience with a new clinical location dedicated solely to all of your aesthetic needs. Located in the near West End at Reynolds Crossing, the Cosmetic Center at DAV encompasses a calming and inviting environment offering the latest in science-forward skincare solutions, advanced facial treatments, and medical aesthetics injections, complemented by a curated range of skincare products.
Role Description
DAV is seeking a part-time Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Injector. The Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality aesthetic treatments and services to guests. This includes performing cosmetic injections of Botox and dermal fillers, including Juvéderm and Restalyne. The Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for educating patients on the benefits of these treatments and providing general skincare consulting and aftercare instructions. The part-time role is perfect for those who wish to practice their art part-time and on designated days monthly. Ideally, the NP would be able to practice at least twice a month in the Cosmetic Center.
Position requirements:
- Conduct thorough consultations to assess patients' needs, educate them on available treatments, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Administer a variety of injectable treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, and other cosmetic enhancements, ensuring precision and safety.
- Educate patients about pre and post-treatment care, expected outcomes, and potential side effects, ensuring their informed consent.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting treatment details, progress, and any adverse reactions.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in aesthetics through ongoing training and professional development
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Enjoy working with people and have a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Must be a team player and support management, peers, and business goals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited institution.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program.
- Must hold and maintain a current Virginia Nursing license.
- 1+ years experience in aesthetic medicine and performing cosmetic injections.
- Advanced training in injectables.
