Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the ICU/PCU department

The ICU/Telemetry department consists of 8 ICU beds and 8 Telemetry beds. We care for a variety of patients including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, GI and post-surgical. This is a great opportunity to build a strong nursing foundation, practice skills, learn from experienced nurses and work with excellent providers. Our patient ratios are outstanding, and safe staffing is a priority. In the ICU you will care for 1:2-3 patients, and on telemetry, 1:4-5 depending on acuity. We have a clerk and CNAs to help support and care for our patients. We have incredible teamwork and work ethic, all taking care of each other in order to provide the best care possible to our patients. We live by the mantra “happy nurses provide better care.”

A typical day will include: Bedside shift report, assessments and initial conversations with your patients, medication passes, helping with meals and daily hygiene. You will also get the opportunity to round with physicians, interact and answer questions for family members, and support your patients in a holistic and caring manner.
