Job Description

CRMA II – Certified Residential Medication Aide II

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Certified Residential Medication Aide II (CRMA II) to join our Nursing Department and support the health and well-being of children in our care.

The CRMA II is an advanced medication aide role with expanded responsibilities within the Nursing Department. Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Nurse, the CRMA II plays an important role in supporting safe medication administration, accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Nurse with assessing, planning, and implementing healthcare services for children in our care.
  • Support the safe and accurate administration and distribution of medications in accordance with established procedures, physician orders, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff responsible for medication administration.
  • Assist with monitoring medication administration practices and identifying documentation or compliance concerns.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, timely, and confidential medical and medication records.
  • Communicate medication concerns, documentation issues, and changes in a child's health or condition promptly to the Senior Nurse.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with organizational policies, nursing department procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Support the Senior Nurse in maintaining effective communication and coordination among nursing staff and residential care staff.
  • Distribute medical information as directed by the Senior Nurse while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail in all medication-related and healthcare responsibilities.
  • Perform additional nursing department duties within the scope of the CRMA II role and as directed by the Senior Nurse.
Qualifications
  • Current CRMA certification in good standing.
  • Demonstrated experience with medication administration and medical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with nursing and residential care staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and consistently follow established protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to recognize and promptly report medication concerns, documentation issues, and changes in a child's condition.
  • Experience working with children in a residential, behavioral health, healthcare, or care setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on increased responsibility and accountability within a healthcare team.
