Fitness Attendant in Vero Beach, Florida at Sea Oaks Property Owners Association

The Fitness Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming, safe and exceptional experience for all members and guests. This role combines fitness floor support with a high-level of hospitality and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive to detail, proactive, and comfortable interacting with members in a professional fitness and wellness environment.

• Welcome members and guests with a friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach.
• Provide exceptional customer service and creative a positive first and lasting impression.
• Assist members with general questions regarding the Fitness Center amenities, policies, classes, and services.
• Anticipate member needs and proactively offer assistance.
• Ensure all members and guests who use the facilities have completed a Waiver.
• Respond to member requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the facility.
• Monitor the fitness floor to help ensure a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment.
• Keep fitness equipment, stretching areas, and common areas organized and properly arranged, notifying management of any specific cleaning requests, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
• Maintain awareness of daily schedules, programs, and facility activities to provide accurate information and assist with sign-ups.
• Report accidents, injuries, hazards, equipment issues, or unusual incidents immediately to the Fitness Manager.
• Assist with minor set-up needs for fitness programming such as yoga mats, small weights, and signing in members and their guests.
• Assist with issuing and troubleshooting key fob access.
• Complete the billing paperwork for members and guests, ensuring members are accurately charged for respective services and communicating with the Accounting department on needs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the Fitness Attendant:

• Must be able to stand for longer than six (6) hours.
• Must be able to move thirty-five (35) pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, and squat.
• Must be able to speak, hear, and see.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
• Must have employment eligibility in the United States of America.
• CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality, fitness, recreation, customer service, concierge services, or a related field is preferred.

This position is subject to a criminal background check and drug test.

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., however, they are subject to change based upon facility and operational needs.
