Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing Commercial Lines team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day service needs of assigned commercial insurance clients, supporting renewal submissions, preparing proposals, and providing timely product and coverage support. The ideal candidate has strong commercial insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience. This position plays a key role in supporting client satisfaction, strengthening account relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the Commercial Lines team.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time, hybrid position working in our office located in North Bellmore, NY.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients, Producers, carrier partners, and internal team members.
- Manage daily account service activities for assigned commercial lines accounts, including client inquiries, policy support, and coverage-related requests.
- Rate accounts using carrier websites and online rating platforms to support new business and renewal activity.
- Handle commercial lines renewal submissions, including gathering information, coordinating with carriers, and supporting the renewal process.
- Create proposals and supporting materials for Sales Executives and Producers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product, policy, billing, claims, and service-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Document client interactions, account updates, service activities, and follow-up items within agency systems.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commercial insurance products, carrier guidelines, coverage options, and service processes.
- Support Sales Executives and new Producers by providing commercial lines coverage knowledge and account support.
- Collaborate with team members on department projects, priorities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, carriers, Producers, and internal team members.
- Assume additional responsibilities and support team priorities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3–5 years of commercial insurance customer service, account management, or insurance sales experience preferred.
- Active New York Property & Casualty insurance license required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, coverages, carrier rating platforms, and policy servicing processes.
- Claims experience helpful but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business technology.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, peers, Producers, and carrier partners.

Pay Range: $47,000 - $52,000 per year plus commission depending on experience.
*A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
