This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver modern SAP cloud solutions that extend enterprise applications while maintaining clean-core principles.

The position focuses on creating side-by-side extensions, applications, and AI-enabled capabilities using SAP Business Technology Platform.
You will collaborate with architects, functional teams, and technical stakeholders to transform complex business requirements into reliable solutions.
This role requires hands-on expertise, strong engineering discipline, and a passion for leveraging cloud-native SAP technologies.
You will contribute to enterprise modernization initiatives by improving agility, scalability, and innovation across SAP ecosystems.
The SAP BTP Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating cloud-based SAP extensions and integrations. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP BTP services, application development, and enterprise architecture while ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Design and develop side-by-side extensions and standalone applications on SAP Business Technology Platform using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Node.js and/or Java.
- Build modern user interfaces using SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP Fiori elements frameworks.
- Develop and consume OData v2/v4 services to integrate SAP systems with internal and external applications.
- Implement authentication and authorization solutions using XSUAA, SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and SAP Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications running on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and Kyma environments.
- Leverage SAP BTP services across application development, integration, workflow automation, business rules, data management, and analytics.
- Develop event-driven solutions using SAP Event Mesh and SAP Advanced Event Mesh.
- Implement AI and machine learning use cases using SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, and connected AI services.
- Apply SAP clean-core principles by designing extensions that minimize modifications to standard SAP applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using SAP Continuous Integration & Delivery, Project Piper, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Support multi-tenant SaaS application architectures, including tenant onboarding, subscription management, and data isolation.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, functional consultants, and integration teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Provide post-go-live support, incident resolution, performance optimization, and continuous platform improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, operational procedures, and support documentation.
The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP developer with strong knowledge of SAP BTP architecture, cloud application development, and enterprise integration patterns. They should have the ability to work independently, solve complex technical challenges, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of SAP development experience, including significant hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Strong experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) using Node.js and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience developing SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications.
- Strong understanding of OData v2/v4 service development and integration patterns.
- Experience working with SAP BTP runtimes, including Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP security services, including XSUAA, IAS, and IPS.
- Experience implementing CI/CD practices and automation for SAP cloud applications.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA extension strategies and clean-core principles.
- Experience with enterprise integration concepts and API-based architectures.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP-certified credentials related to SAP BTP development.
- Experience with SAP Build, Workflow, Business Rules, or Document Management Service.
- Exposure to SAP AI Core and integrations with hyperscaler AI platforms.
- Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
- Experience designing and supporting multi-tenant SaaS applications on SAP BTP.
- Competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000, based on experience, qualifications, and relevant expertise.
