This role provides the opportunity to support a critical safety organization by strengthening the systems, processes, and operational infrastructure behind a large-scale safety program.
You will help ensure safety initiatives are effectively coordinated, documented, tracked, and continuously improved across multiple teams and projects.
Working closely with safety leaders, business units, and project stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
The position combines program coordination, data analysis, documentation management, and technology administration within a dynamic operational environment.

The Safety Operations Program Specialist will support the operational execution of safety programs by managing systems, reporting, compliance activities, documentation, and coordination efforts across regional teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to improve safety outcomes.
- Provide operational and program support to safety leadership and regional teams by coordinating priorities, initiatives, and ongoing safety activities.
- Maintain safety program trackers, action-item logs, compliance schedules, audit records, corrective actions, training requirements, and reporting timelines.
- Collaborate with safety managers, business leaders, project teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure consistent program support and communication.
- Administer and support safety management systems and learning platforms, including user access, data accuracy, workflows, assignments, and continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate safety training programs by managing course assignments, completion tracking, certification renewals, refresher requirements, and compliance reporting.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain safety performance data to create dashboards, scorecards, trend analyses, executive summaries, and recurring reports.
- Manage document control for safety manuals, procedures, templates, forms, project safety plans, hazard analyses, emergency documentation, and related records.
- Support project teams throughout project lifecycles by ensuring safety documentation is complete, current, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Maintain records related to incidents, near misses, injuries, vehicle events, property damage, investigations, and safety-related documentation.
- Track corrective actions from incidents, audits, inspections, and safety reviews while supporting follow-up, lessons learned, and closure reporting.
- Assist with subcontractor safety documentation, onboarding requirements, compliance tracking, audits, and project closeout activities.
- Coordinate safety meetings, prepare agendas and summaries, track follow-ups, and support leadership communications.
- Contribute to process improvements involving safety workflows, reporting systems, digital tools, templates, and standardized procedures.
The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting safety programs, compliance operations, and organizational processes, along with strong communication, analytical, and project coordination abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, business administration, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in safety operations, environmental health and safety, compliance management, risk management, construction safety, or related operational roles.
- Experience supporting regional, multi-state, remote, or enterprise-level teams is preferred.
- Background in construction, renewable energy, utilities, engineering, federal contracting, operations and maintenance, or similar industries is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety documentation, training records, incident management, corrective actions, audits, and compliance tracking processes.
- Experience supporting safety leaders, project managers, operational teams, or corporate safety functions.
- Familiarity with safety management systems, learning management systems, EHS software, compliance platforms, or training technologies.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Ability to create and maintain dashboards, tracking tools, reports, training matrices, document control systems, and executive presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and deliverables in a remote environment.
- High level of accuracy, accountability, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations such as OSHA, Cal/OSHA, NFPA 70E, fall protection, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and subcontractor safety management.
- Experience with safety technology platforms such as Vector Solutions EHS, Vector Solutions LMS, IndustrySafe, RedVector, TargetSolutions, or similar systems is preferred.
- Experience managing LMS assignments, training compliance reporting, incident modules, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and safety dashboards is preferred.
- Experience preparing executive-level safety reports, presentations, and leadership summaries is a plus.
- Safety or project management certifications such as ASP, CSP, GSP, CHST, OSHA 30-Hour, or similar credentials are preferred but not required.
- Competitive base salary range of $92,000 – $134,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
