We are looking for a Central Sterile Technician who is ready to plant roots and grow in our Central Sterile Unit.

JOB SUMMARY:
Processes instruments, supplies, and trays for Stillwater Medical Center and Stillwater Medical Center owned clinics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
- Must obtain CRCST within one year of hire.
- Must be able to respond to SMC within 30 minutes when on call.
- Able to take emergency call 3pm to 7am weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends on rotating schedule, as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to function in stressful situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
- Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
- Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk and converse with others in person and over the phone.
- Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
- Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: finger stick blood sugars, vital signs, feed patients, and handle instruments).
