Bartender
Superhost Hospitality - Embassy Suites Schumaumburg
As a Bartender, you play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by providing exceptional food and beverage service in a welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere. You are responsible for preparing quality beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean, organized bar while delivering the high level of hospitality that defines the Superhost experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
- Greeting guests warmly and providing friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Making beverage and menu recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Accurately taking beverage and food orders and processing guest payments.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout each shift.
- Monitoring guest alcohol consumption and ensuring responsible alcohol service in accordance with local laws.
- Assisting with opening, closing, inventory, and daily side work.
- Collaborating with servers, kitchen staff, and management to provide seamless service.
- Maintaining knowledge of current menu items, promotions, and beverage offerings.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation preferred.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Responsible alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain if required by state law).
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to commute.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability for varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
