Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Junior GIS Developer to lead our GIS/SaaS development team and help shape the next generation of our web‑mapping applications. This position is based out of our North Vancouver, BC office.

Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for a Junior GIS Developer will include, but are not limited to:
- Creating, testing and reviewing ArcGIS Online maps and apps
- Publishing and maintaining ArcGIS Server web services
- Using Python, SQL, or other scripting language to develop tools and perform tasks
- Spatial data management
- Managing incoming field collected data from clients and staff
- Converting, importing, managing, and manipulating data from a variety of sources
- Performing QA/QC tasks to ensure GIS data integrity
- Troubleshooting issues related to GIS and web-based mapping systems.
Qualifications:
- Formal education in GIS with a background in Geography, Computer Science, or other relevant area.
- A minimum of one (1) year of GIS experience working on web-mapping projects
- Experience developing tools on the Esri or QGIS platforms
- Relational database experience, especially with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, will be considered an asset
- Experience programming and scripting using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or Arcade
- Excellent data management and cartographic skills
- Strong reasoning and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to customer service
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $30- $35 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
