Product Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Analyst based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the evolution of insurance products through data-driven analysis, strategic insights, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work at the intersection of analytics, product management, and business operations to identify opportunities and support impactful improvements.
The position focuses on evaluating product performance, understanding customer and market trends, and transforming complex information into actionable recommendations.
You will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from initial analysis and requirements gathering to implementation and post-launch evaluation.
Working with diverse teams, you will help improve product effectiveness, profitability, and customer experience.

Accountabilities:

The Product Analyst will support product strategy and execution by analyzing performance data, identifying improvement opportunities, and helping teams make informed decisions. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into clear solutions.

  • Analyze product performance, profitability, customer needs, and market trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Transform complex datasets into clear reports, dashboards, visualizations, and actionable insights for business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Conduct competitive research and support product decisions related to positioning, pricing, rates, product structures, and guidelines.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, workflows, documentation, and product specifications.
  • Support product updates through planning, testing, quality assurance, regulatory processes, implementation, and post-launch analysis.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Technology, and other teams to deliver effective improvements.
  • Identify process, reporting, and product gaps while recommending practical solutions to enhance performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise, business understanding, and strong communication skills to support data-driven product decisions. This position is suited for someone who enjoys investigating trends, solving complex problems, and working collaboratively across teams.

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, product analysis, business analysis, product development, market analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including intermediate Excel skills and experience with data visualization.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI is a plus.
  • Interest in product management, analytics, and continuous improvement within a business environment.
