Job Description

Staffing Office Specialist

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Staffing Office Specialist is responsible for allocating in-house staffing of patient care providers via the use of Float Pool and Nursing Registry Vendors. The incumbent performs varied secretarial and administrative work for the Nursing Administration. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering phones and directing calls, gathering information, preparing reports, maintaining files, analyzing computer reports, and performing other staff support functions.
Hourly Pay Range: $17.54 - $25.87
This is a part-time night position. Eligible for a night shift differential of 18% and weekend shift differential of 8% of the employee’s base rate of pay.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
  • Prefer one (1) year experience in a Staffing Office or equivalent.
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Effective organizational skills are required to adapt to an ever-changing environment, establish priorities while working under time constraints, and coordinate a variety of projects.
  • Requires critical thinking skills to balance needs with available resources.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competencies in various computer applications, including MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with all levels of staff.
