Job Description
Position Title: Sundaram Clayton Quality Inspector
Location: Ridgeville, South Carolina
Requirements of a Quality Inspector
Location: Ridgeville, South Carolina
Requirements of a Quality Inspector
- Prior experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment OR strong attention to detail with ability to learn inspection processes
- Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive work
- Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs (as needed)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic math and ability to read/follow work instructions
- Dependable attendance and ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including Saturday overtime
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and consistently
- 6+ months experience as a Quality Inspector or in manufacturing quality
- Experience reading basic prints/part specs and understanding tolerances
- Familiarity with:
- defect tracking, scrap/rework processes
- control plans, check sheets, inspection logs
- Experience using measuring equipment (calipers/micrometers) and recording results
- Automotive/manufacturing quality experience (a plus)
- Manufacturing/industrial setting (noise, moving equipment, temperature variations)
- PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.)
