Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor, SFR
Dallas, TX | On-site | $65,000 to $75,000 per year

Picture this: it's Monday morning, escalated work orders are stacking up, and your regional dispatch team is looking to you for direction. You reset priorities, check cost and timeline targets, bring in the right vendor, and by lunch the backlog is moving and tenants are getting answers. If that sounds like a good day to you, our client wants to meet you.

About the Company:

Our client is a high growth real estate company in the single family residential (SFR) sector, offering a flexible, empowering culture. They are looking for individuals experienced in property management operations who are passionate about customer service and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Transparency is a core value here. The team speaks its mind, takes responsibility for its actions, and celebrates its wins. They lean into challenges and don't give up, while staying serious about the business without taking themselves too seriously. They value self-motivated people with a “can-do” mindset who see solutions where others see problems, and they offer competitive compensation, benefits, and development opportunities.

The role in a Nutshell:

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the regional maintenance dispatch team and keep every work order on time, on budget, and up to quality standards, so homes meet company standards and tenants have a safe, enjoyable place to live. The ideal candidate knows asset and portfolio management, delivers exceptional customer service, has led teams overseeing residential maintenance work orders, and understands the repairs needed to bring a home up to standard.

Your Day to Day:
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance dispatch team in your assigned region
  • Train new hires during onboarding and keep current staff sharp with recurring training
  • Keep timelines, costs, and quality on target across every work order
  • Report regularly to management on regional budgets and performance
  • Work with supply chain teams to expand the vendor base wherever markets need it
  • Check in weekly with Field Maintenance Managers to line up on field staff KPIs
  • Hold the line on high urgency, priority, and safety requirements for every work order
  • Take charge of escalated maintenance work orders in your region
  • Own all staff responsibilities
  • Push internal field performance by assigning 70% of work orders to field staff
  • Pitch in on projects and additional duties as requested

What You'll Need:
  • 3+ years in single family or multi-family maintenance
  • At least 2 years of customer service and call center management
  • Comfort with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar Microsoft tools
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field a plus
  • EPA, Lead, and Asbestos certifications or licenses a plus

Additional Information:

This position is based in our client's office in Dallas, TX. Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. All duties are performed in a professional and safe manner, with regular typing, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, and repetitive motion, along with routine use of standard office equipment.

Equal Opportunities and Other Employment Statements:

Our client is deeply committed to building a workplace and community where inclusion is not only valued but prioritized. They take pride in being an equal opportunity employer and seek to create a welcoming environment based on mutual respect, and to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool. All employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, family status, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, neuro-diversity, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
