General Manager

Coffee experience is not required; however, some Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) management or other food/beverage management experience is. Our training programs are comprised of video, instructor-led, and hands on experiences, and we are continually learning and developing. Your Daily Grind
- Completion of Manager-In-Training (MIT) Program. During this 6-week program, a combination of self-directed, classroom, and hands on learning will be provided as preparation to effectively manage all staff and store operations. Participate in on-going leadership and other training programs as required
- Ensure operational excellence to Mile 40 and Scooter's Coffee standards, upholding our Mission Statement and Core Values, while holding your team of leaders and baristas accountable to the same
- Hire, train, develop, and retain a team of strong leaders and baristas
- Determine daily and weekly staffing requirements, create work schedules, conduct job interviews, and make hiring/termination decisions
- Effective management of all inventory, cost of goods, and labor resources and budgets
- Work in store daily identifying culture and/or operational challenges coaching to correction and development
- Contribute to setting team goals and accountability for focus and effort of team in achieving goals
- Contribute toward store profitability and growth by proactively seeking opportunities to increase sales working collaboratively as necessary with ownership and other management to put strategic action plans in place and drive execution
- Ownership in maintaining store appearance, cleanliness, and equipment. Ensure Pride of Place (POP) is maintained to standards
- Monitoring and responding to customer feedback submissions via various online and social media platforms
- Complete daily, weekly, and quarterly financial and other reports as required
- Monitor and maintain store and company budgets, utilizing tools and resources provided
- Assist in enhanced social media presence and followers working in collaboration as necessary with marketing, store ownership, and other support personnel and vendors
- Participate in various community engagement activities, events, and other marketing actions as requested to drive enhanced brand awareness and increased sales traffic to store location
- Final accountability for all store operations, team contributions, and performance
What You Bring to the Brew
- Proven high level performer with minimum two (2) years of QSR or other food and/or beverage management experience
- Ability to provide consistent and effective leadership and support to diverse team
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with flexibility for more than 40 hours, mornings, nights, weekends, as required
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge and understanding of all operational aspects of our business, inclusive of all days and dayparts
- High level of self-awareness, self-motivation and ability to self-manage to work independently, consistently and reliably
- Competitive, goal-oriented, and continually seeking personal and professional development

- Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as necessary
