Language Arts Resource Teacher (Part-Time)

Location: Sterling, VA
Position Type: Part-Time, In-Person
ADAMS Radiant Hearts Academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing, faith-centered educational environment where students develop academically, spiritually, and socially. We are seeking a passionate and engaging Language Arts Resource Teacher to support student growth and foster a love of reading and writing.
Position SummaryThe Language Arts Resource Teacher will provide high-quality instruction to students in Grades 2 and 4, helping them develop strong literacy, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and enthusiastic about working with elementary-aged children.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Language Arts to students in Grades 2 and 4.
- Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Administer assessments and prepare report cards.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support student success.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and staff handbook requirements.
- Ensure the responsible use and care of instructional materials and classroom resources.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively teach Language Arts concepts to elementary students.
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
- Positive attitude and commitment to student growth.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children.
- Graduates of U.S. educational institutions.
- Proficiency with educational technology and online learning resources.
- Experience creating educational content, presentations, or short instructional videos.
- Passionate about literacy and student achievement.
- Creative and engaging instructor.
- Strong communicator and team player.
- Organized, dependable, and student-centered.
