Job Description

Strategic Sales & Solutions SME

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategic Sales & Solutions SME in the United States.

This is a senior, high-impact advisory and technical overlay role operating at the intersection of executive leadership, cybersecurity strategy, and enterprise solution design. You will engage directly with C-level stakeholders and boards to shape cyber resilience and disaster recovery strategies that align with critical business outcomes. Acting as both a trusted executive advisor and a deep technical authority, you will support complex enterprise deals by validating solution fit, de-risking architectures, and challenging assumptions early in the sales and design process. The role requires a strong ability to bridge business strategy with technical execution in environments where uptime, security, and continuity are mission-critical. You will also act as a market voice internally, influencing product direction and service evolution. This is a highly consultative position for a leader who thrives in complex enterprise engagements and strategic decision-making environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a trusted executive advisor to CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, boards, and senior leadership on cyber resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Lead strategic workshops and executive sessions focused on operational risk, recovery planning, regulatory alignment, and resilience investment decisions.
  • Translate complex technical and risk scenarios into clear, business-aligned recommendations that support executive decision-making.
  • Act as a senior technical overlay on large enterprise deals, leading deep discovery, solution validation, and technical risk assessment.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and determine feasibility of customer requirements within the existing service and solution framework.
  • Partner with sales, solution architecture, product, and customer success teams to design and validate scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Support business case development and investment justification for cyber resilience and recovery initiatives.
  • Represent the organization in executive forums, partner engagements, and industry events while contributing to thought leadership initiatives.
  • Capture and translate market and customer insights into product strategy, roadmap input, and future service innovation.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, disaster recovery, data protection, or related domains in technical or leadership roles.
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise deals in a technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or executive advisory capacity.
  • Strong background in hands-on delivery within infrastructure, IT operations, or professional services environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and board-level stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in cyber resilience, ransomware recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid, cloud, and on-prem enterprise architectures, including RPO/RTO and compliance considerations.
  • Ability to evaluate technical risk, challenge assumptions, and balance technical feasibility with business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive storytelling skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in matrixed, fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer and partner engagements.
  • Former executive or senior leadership experience (e.g., CIO, CTO, CISO, VP Infrastructure) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with leading enterprise technologies and ecosystems such as Rubrik, Nutanix, Cohesity, Commvault, VMware, or major cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Exposure to managed services or “as-a-service” models in data protection or cybersecurity is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, and wellness benefits.
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with national travel and customer engagement opportunities.
  • Professional development support, including leadership growth and industry certifications.
  • Opportunity to directly influence strategy, innovation, and future service offerings.
  • Inclusive workplace culture with flexible policies and strong support for work-life balance.
  • Additional benefits including flexible holidays and a robust 401(k) program.
