This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Professional Learning Manager, PD Design and Onboarding based in the United States.
This is a leadership opportunity for an education professional passionate about creating impactful learning experiences for K–12 educators. You will lead a team responsible for designing and continuously improving professional development materials that help educators succeed. The role also owns onboarding and ongoing training for the broader Professional Learning organization, ensuring teams have the resources and knowledge they need to perform at their best. You’ll combine people leadership with hands-on writing, editing, curriculum design, and project management. Close collaboration with Product, Curriculum, Marketing, and other teams will help translate evolving product capabilities into effective training experiences. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to influence professional learning programs at significant scale while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Set the vision, priorities, and operating approach for the Professional Development Design team, aligning its work with organizational and customer needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Professional Development Designers, providing clear direction, thoughtful feedback, coaching, and opportunities for growth.
- Create, review, edit, and continuously improve professional development materials to ensure they are clear, engaging, accurate, consistent, and effective for educators.
- Establish and maintain high standards for writing, instructional design, formatting, and overall quality across professional learning materials.
- Oversee onboarding for new members of the Professional Learning organization, including the creation, organization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of onboarding resources.
- Support ongoing training initiatives to ensure professional learning teams have the product knowledge, skills, and resources required to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from conception through completion, balancing competing priorities and adapting plans as business needs evolve.
- Partner with other Professional Learning leaders to gather feedback, identify opportunities, and improve professional development and internal training programs.
- Collaborate with Product, Curriculum, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop effective product education and enablement materials.
- Use customer and team feedback to identify patterns, solve problems, and continuously strengthen professional development experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a role where creating and delivering professional development for K–12 educators was a primary responsibility.
- 2+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible training content.
- Strong understanding of professional development and educator learning needs, with experience supporting curriculum and assessment adoptions strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Adaptability and comfort working through ambiguity, changing priorities, and evolving organizational needs.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships across teams and levels of an organization.
- An enthusiastic, collaborative, and positive approach, with the ability to connect effectively with educators, colleagues, and stakeholders.
