About the Role:

The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, directly impacting the supply chain and overall business performance. This position involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, products, and equipment in a timely and organized manner. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring that all safety and quality standards are met. This role requires collaboration with team members and other departments to support seamless logistics and inventory management. Ultimately, the Warehouse Associate contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring that products are handled and delivered correctly and on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and understand shipping documents.
  • 2+ years prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Clean driving record a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse machinery.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution center.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and use of warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments according to company procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and attention to detail and deliver them.
  • Maintain organized and clean warehouse spaces to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as physical stamina and basic math are essential for handling daily warehouse tasks like lifting, sorting, and verifying shipments. Attention to detail ensures accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management, reducing errors and improving customer satisfaction. Communication and teamwork skills facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and supervisors to meet operational targets. Preferred skills like forklift operation and familiarity with inventory software enhance efficiency and safety in handling materials. Additionally, organizational skills help maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, supporting overall productivity and compliance with safety standards.
