This role sits at the core of a modern, cloud-first IT organization where security, automation, and scalability are key drivers of success. You will design, manage, and optimize global IT systems and SaaS infrastructure that support a fast-growing, distributed workforce. Acting as both a technical expert and systems owner, you will ensure seamless access, secure environments, and reliable endpoint management across the organization. The position requires deep expertise in identity, endpoint security, and cloud platforms, combined with a strong automation mindset. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and security teams to enable secure and efficient access to tools and environments. This is a high-impact role where your work directly strengthens operational resilience, security posture, and user experience at scale.
- Own and manage modern access and Zero Trust (ZTNA) infrastructure, including policy design, identity-based access controls, and secure application connectivity.
- Act as a key technical partner between IT, Engineering, and Product teams to design secure and efficient access solutions for tools and development environments.
- Serve as the escalation point for advanced troubleshooting, diagnosing complex connectivity, endpoint, and network issues using logs, telemetry, and system analysis.
- Automate IT operations using scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure-as-Code to ensure scalable, consistent, and repeatable systems management.
- Manage and secure global endpoint fleets across macOS and Windows using MDM tools such as Kandji/Iru and Intune, ensuring compliance and zero-touch deployment.
- Lead vulnerability remediation efforts using security tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon, including Real Time Response (RTR) for targeted fixes.
- Oversee identity and SaaS ecosystems, including Okta, Google Workspace, Azure AD/Entra ID, Slack, and Zoom, ensuring identity-first security and seamless access.
- Support IT service desk operations as a senior escalation resource while maintaining strong service quality and user experience.
- Contribute to security incident response and ensure adherence to best practices in system security and compliance frameworks.
- Champion AI adoption across IT systems and workflows, supporting secure integration of approved AI tools to improve productivity and automation.
Requirements:
- 6–10 years of experience in Systems Administration within cloud-first, global, and high-growth environments.
- Strong expertise in Zero Trust architecture, identity-based access, and context-aware security policies.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools such as Kandji/Iru and Microsoft Intune across macOS and Windows environments.
- Deep knowledge of security platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon, including vulnerability management and incident response.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript, with an automation-first mindset.
- Solid experience with IAM platforms, especially Okta, including SAML, lifecycle management, and workflows.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, and SaaS integrations across enterprise tools.
- Experience managing Google Workspace, Azure AD/Entra ID, and collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar security/compliance frameworks is a plus.
- Experience working with AI/LLM-based systems, automation tools, or agentic workflows is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure incidents.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is an asset, but not required.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, equity, and performance-based components.
- Remote-first work environment with flexibility across Canada.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families.
- Mental wellness support, fertility benefits, and family-building assistance.
- Flexible time off policy, plus company-paid holidays and paid family/medical leave.
- Retirement savings plans and financial wellness support.
- Annual professional development stipend for learning and growth.
- Home office and technology setup allowance.
- Strong emphasis on innovation, automation, and AI-driven tooling.
- Collaborative, high-performance culture focused on ownership, transparency, and impact.
